Vote for AKA to see him perform at the NAMAs this year!

AKA took to Twitter to celebrate his NAMAs nomination in the Best Pan African Artist of the Year category. AKA who is no stranger to Namibia showed gratitude for the nomination saying:
“Thank You for my nomination @namibianawards 2019 for best PAN AFRICAN ARTIST. I hope to see you in person on the day.”
Last week at the NTN, the biggest entertainment awards organisers officially announced all the 2019 nominees in all categories. The categories, as usual, included the Pan African Artist of the year, an award that celebrates talents out of the Namibian boarders.
According to the NAMAs entry rules, this category consists of a shortlist of five artists nominated by the Namibian radio stations, according to popular demand of their music across Namibian radio stations and vetted by the NAMA Executive Committee. This selected shortlist will then be announced and made available for public vote. The public vote will determine the winner. For this category the public will only be allowed to vote via SMS. Artists from the Rest of Africa, nominated within this category will be the only non Namibian artists eligible to perform live at the Namibian Awards ceremony.
AKA is nominated for his song Fela in Versace is in the category with Diamond Platnumz for African Beauty, Holly Rey for Deeper, Master KG for Skeleton Move and Prince Kaybee Banomoya. Last year, the Pan African Artist award was scooped by Distruction Boyz for Omunye.
The NAMAs will take place on 7 September at the Dome in Swakopmund.
