Alta Ouses comes in with Faded

By: Ashley Jantjies

Ever felt sad listening to a song’s lyrics but at the same time want to stand up and dance? Well, that’s exactly what the Queen of soul Alta Ouses and DJ Chronic were aiming for with their latest feel-good song Faded.

“We were trying to make a club song or creating a sound that is very different from what we all are used to in this country,” she said.

She told unWrap.online that the song influenced by electro and tech music was inspired by the late Avicii and is about longing for a romantic love that doesn’t exist anymore. Sharing how they came to collaborate, she said that DJ Chronic, who was searching for an artist to be on the song, loved her voice and asked if she could do something on a song titled faded.

“I immediately said yes, because the idea was beautiful. I wrote the lyrics at that moment; we finished the song before time, and it was a success.”She added “I will definitely do more electronic dance music. A few collaborations are coming soon with some well-known local artists.”
