Alta Ouses goes international

Alta Ouses working on new music with South African DJ, DJ AJ.

If there is an artist making big moves in the music industry, it’s Alta Ouses. Having released her album Eish Love in September, the hype around this artist just seems to increase. Ouses is a soul singer and soul writer having been in the industry for about 5 years thus far blessing us with her stunning voice. 

A voice so powerful that the artist is now working on a new project with a DJ from South Africa, DJ AJ. A DJ that truly immortalized himself by setting himself on fire, literally, during live performances according to the Daily Sun.

Unwrap.Online had the opportunity to get an exclusive with Ouses to get the scoop on this hot topic.  

Unwrap.Online (UO): How did you get the project you are working on with the south African DJ?  

Alta Ouses (AO): This year in August I flew out to South Africa to have a show in Johannesburg and at the same time got the opportunity to work with DJ AJ the son of the kwaito master Arthur Mafokate. Everything wasn’t planned but it worked out miraculously. When I first heard the beat/ instrumental I immediately fell in love with it. The sound was so perfect for my voice and original too, there was an immediate connection. The first time DJ AJ actually heard about me was last year (2018) and he reached out to me the time I released How Deep Is Your Love featuring South African rapper Shabzi Madallion. He has been a big fan of my voice ever since. 

UO: What are your expectations in terms of outcomes for this project? 

AO: We made a song for the people to dance too, for the people to have a good time and I believe the song will bring people together. It is a chill but up-tempo vibe and definitely for the December summertime. The visuals will be released very soon and that will be a way to connect with the viewers. I see a brand-new chapter for me because I’ve always wanted to do music abroad in the international music standard. What a dream come true and a blessing to know that I have fans that side too.
