Amapiano on the rise in Nam

Ever since the inception of the popular sub-genre, Amapiano has gained popularity in Namibia after it crossed the border from South Africa.

One music producer and DJ, AL- Jarreau Clazen has taken a liking to the genre and is currently busy working on an Amapiano project that is set to be dropping in December alongside Michael Pulse, Bongani and Meduletu the MC.

The Amapiano freshman, who hails from the small town of Rehoboth, says that he plans to drop a single by the end of this month which features two seasoned vocalists Michael Pulse and Bongani Garoeb. The other honourable mention Meduletu The MC will be on the intro of the project.

“Music has always been part of the family and one of my uncles is a DJ and I always had passion in what he was doing and it became a big part of my life,” Clazen told unwrap.online.

He said that the songs will be released on the DonluAfrica streaming site as well as on five local radio stations across Namibia. Clazen hopped in the industry when he released two songs titled ‘Without You’ and ‘Falling’ with a South African producer Mr bolz.

Clazen has also worked with mainstay musician Bertholdt and hopes to work with industry heavyweights like Gazza, Top Cheri and Sunny Boy.

“I plan to work with anyone willing to work with me and make good music,” Clazen concluded.
