Artists share heartfelt messages and memories of the late Ma/Gaisa legend

As soon as news broke that the the Ma/Gaisa legend,
Timotheus Duwe also known as King Phura passed away, celebrities and fans alike took to social media with their heartfelt messages and memories.

Artists and fans have been sending their condolences the late Phura’s family and acknowledging how he has contributed to the music industry.

Kalux posted that the late Phura started Ma \Gaisa and that his initiative is appreciated now and forever . “He was one of the artist that inspired me to do music” He told Unwrap in an interview.

Big Ben said that the late Phura started the genre of Damara Punch and made it popular. He lived the best of life.

The Tswazis also sent the their condolences and state that they use to dance to his music. They stressed that he is the reason the are doing What they are doing now.

Phura passed away on 25 April morning at the Swakopmund state hospital after suffering from a long illness. He was a legend in the genre of Damara Punch. He was one of the greatest musician in Namibia.
