Here is how you get to open for Esperance and Nomonde Sky at The Architecture of Poetry show in June.

Esperance Luvindao is calling upon all spoken word artists/poets to showcase their talent at the auditions for her upcoming show The Architecture of Poetry.
The recently graduated Dr is all about empowering fellow artists and with each opportunity she gets, she does just that. For her upcoming show, she is looking for a poet with the X factor who is able to connect with the audience and take them on a journey with their pieces. According to her, it is a search for one talented artist with the potential to explode, a lyrical genius. This will also be the ideal setting for someone with the talent to receive great exposure. Esperance also adds that the genre does not matter at all as long as the artists are delivering poetic punch lines.
“Empowering artists means giving up and coming artists the opportunities I never got when I was starting out. Opportunities I only wish I had in 2011 when I started performing. There are so many talented people with no opportunities. Poetry and spoken word opportunities are limited. There are huge opportunities for musicians but I can count the ones available for poets. I want to create major platforms for poetry,” she said.
Esperance says she hopes to help create platforms that will one day lead to annual spoken word awards where lyrical geniuses are awarded for their skills and work throughout the year. Esperance also sees this as a channel through which they can leave a resounding impression as she believes that poetry has that ability to be impactful.
