Bank Windhoek entertains the coast this Decmber

Bank Windhoek will host the annual Summer Festival this holiday season for visitors to the coast, from Friday, 6 until Saturday, 21 December 2019. The Bank Windhoek Summer Festival has lined up a wide variety of entertainment and activities for holidaymakers who plan to celebrate the festive season at the coast:

Swakopmund KIA Makietie
This event will take place on Friday, 6 until Saturday, 7 December 2019, at the Vineta North Sports Field in Swakopmund, from 10:00 until 23:00. The organisers promise an extensive programme packed with exciting festivities. Some of the activities include wine tastings from leading South African and Namibian wine estates and a music festival featuring exciting line-ups of international and national musicians.

Bank Windhoek Kehat Beukes Memorial Chess Tournament


Chess enthusiasts can look forward to the Namibia Chess Federation’s Bank Windhoek Kehat Beukes Memorial Chess tournament taking place in Swakopmund on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 December 2019. The annual tournament, which will be staged at the Swakopmund Municipal Conference Centre, aims to attract international travellers and the best of the local chess players to compete for top honours over nine rounds.

Bank Windhoek Swakopmunder Musikwoche
The 2019 Bank Windhoek Swakopmunder Musikwoche, will take place from Sunday, 8 to Saturday, 14 December 2019 in Swakopmund. The annual music event, will be hosted under the patronage of the German Evangelic Lutheran Church’s Swakopmund community.
Music professionals from both national and international institutions have been invited to instruct and assist young and old Namibian musicians.


The 2019 Bank Windhoek Swakopmunder Musikwoche will also have a free open general rehearsal on Saturday, 14 December 2019 from 9:00 to 13:00. The main concert will be staged at the Trendhaus from 19:00 on the same day.

The annual Coastal Senior Open Golf tournament, will take place at the Rossmund Golf Course on Wednesday, 11 until Thursday, 12 December 2019.

Bank Windhoek presents Two Hands Clapping
Aldo Behrens, Theo Cookson, Christene Cookson, and The Mascato Singers, will host an entertaining theatrical play known as the Two Hands Clapping at Swakopmund’s Haus der Jugend on Thursday, 19 December 2019.

Bank Windhoek Beach Volleyball Bash

Bank Windhoek Henties Bay Open Golf Day

Bank Windhoek Namib Tiger Trails Cycling
Bank Windhoek in collaboration with The Lighthouse Group, will host the much anticipated mountain biking event in the lunar landscape on Saturday, 21 December 2019 at Tiger Reef in Swakopmund. The event will see cyclists compete over distances of 25, 40 and 80 kilometres on a circular track.
