If you are a fan of Namibian old school music and giving back in general, you will be excited for some of the goodness to take place in October. The Patty’s Heart Foundation recently announced its community activities to take place in October as this year marks the fifth year that a beloved queen transitioned to her final resting place. Today, the Patty’s Heart Foundation run by her daughters including Nangula Gaingos has completed multiple community drives in Windhoek, Otjiwarongo and Malthoe.

On 4 October a tribute concert in honour of Aunty Patty, artists we have lost, artists that we may have forgotten and of course the unsung heroes. It will be a benefit concert whereby a ticket will be availed upon the purchasing of any of the following food bank parcel items:
maize meal, tinned fish, tinned corned meat, cooking oil, beans, bread flour, brown sugar or a bar of soap at your nearest Shoprite or Checkers supermarket!

“I truly believe that giving is contagious. Four years ago, I wanted to mourn her passing by doing absolutely nothing. I wanted to be absent from the living and any and everything that had to do with living activities. Instead, I received the best advice ever which was to rather commemorate my mother’s life by helping others.,” says Geingos.
