Building houses with pageantry

This years edition of Mr and Miss Miedoso Inc is set to amaze as it is centred around what it calls the golden decade.

The director and founder of the pageant Jason Isaaks told unwrap.online that the Miss and Mr Miedoso Inc was started in 2013 as a youth program to entertain the Rehoboth community while helping hopeful models in the process.

Throughout the years, the pageant has changed its vision and mission, adapting to the beauty standards set by pageants internationally. In 2021, the pageant took a one year break to re-evaluate its structure.

“Currently, the Mr and Miss Miedoso Inc Namibia is centered around the structure and construction of housing. We hope to help low to no income members within the Rehoboth community with the needs and resources to build shelters. This is still new. However, we hope to help at least 100 families within the next 10 years,” Isaaks said.

He says since the pageant is celebrating it’s tenth edition the public can expect models from all works of life and A-grade work from the judges as well as the performers, which will all be broadcasted live.

He further said that this years pageant entry criteria was part of the reconstruction of the pageant and letting go of a certain type of what people the standard of beauty should be.

“We believe that anyone can be a role model regardless of your marital status, your height, size, and guardianship. So this year, the sky was the limit for our applicants. We only had an age restriction as we still wish to somewhat stick to the youth and grow our youth,” Isaaks added.

More information on when and where the pageant will be held is still to come Isaaks urges the public to stay tuned.
