Call for entry for female filmmakers

An opportunity for Namibian filmmakers to win N$10 000

If you are a Namibian filmmaker, here is a chance for you to win N$10 000 COVID-19 relief funds. The opportunity by Ladima Foundation, a pan-African non-profit organization aiming to promote women in the TV and film industry is to showcase their talents and experiences that women are facing during the Pandemic Covid-19.

The competition aims to encourage African women by having the film creators share the stories and experiences that they are facing during the lockdown. The filmmakers are encouraged to be creative and include anything that is relevant to what the competition requires, that being the challenges or positive encounters. All genres are welcome and the films should be 2 minutes long or shorter, where the best 10 films will have a chance of winning N$ 10 000 and other prizes.

The films created should have a storyline based on the pandemic Covid-19 and the creativity, story concept, the quality of production etc.is considered. The films that must be submitted on 21 June should be able to capture the audience emotionally and should influence them in a positive way.
