Yesterday afternoon the news of the passing of the late Shambo queen Tunakie took over Namibia with music enthusiasts, singers and Namibian’s taking to social media to pay their tributes.
messages of condolences have come in from politicians, personalities and creatives alike who all agree that the death of Tunakie has left a gap in the music industry.
Amongst the celebrities that paid tribute to the star include Dnaff who shared on his Facebook account the honour it was of having a sister in music like Tunakie.
Shambo Queen of Namibian Traditional Music, Tunakie, aunt, Angie Nampala has confirmed that she has died after she collapsed in her salon in South Africa on Saturday afternoon, 24 April.
“At this moment I cannot say much. The news is so sad for everyone,” said Nampala.



Tunakie is renowned for her songs including Nanghelo and Hatapate that features Jericho.
