D-Jay not happy with NAMA nomination

Diogene Ochs aka D-Jay made it known on his Facebook that he is not happy that he was not nominated for the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMA) category for Best Rap/Hip-Hop.

The rapper however said he was grateful for being nominated in the Best Kwaito category for his song Mistake Me featuring Young T.

“I’m nominated for best Kwaito..I know it sounds weird but I do have a good kwaito song on the album featuring Young T. Its not my genre but the song is kwaito n was number 1 up north for a long time,” he said on Facebook.

The Champion singer said he hated that he was not nominated for the Best Rap category. “They always cut me out of best hip-hop n I hate that! But nothing’s always fair. Anyway, its the biggest night in Namibian music.” he said.

The NAMAs will take place at Swakopmund on 07 September 2019.
