D-jay runs into girl from Listen to your heart video

There is no doubt that D-Jay’s Listen to your heart is a classic song, it was an impressive feat at storytelling and addressing drug and alcohol abuse, HIV/Aids, crime and teenage pregnancy. Listen to your heart was D-Jay’s crossover hit song and it made him a household name in the music industry.

He ran into the girl who acted in one of the scenes in the video. She was a part of the first scene which dealt with D-Jay’s take on a girl that was affected by the domestic abuse her mother was going through at the hands of her father. “I met this young girl, she look kinda sad. She told me everything in the life is bad. Everything is wrong it’s never ever right. Mom and dad are fighting in the middle of the night. There’s nothing I do but cry and pray,” he raps on the song.

He says she is doing very well for herself and we couldn’t be any prouder.
