Former Big Brother Africa, The Chase winner Dillish Mathews is also one of the proud Africans to express gratitude to her fellow African brothers and sisters who made it to the cut by congratulating Shatta Wale as he featured Beyonce on a track entitled Already on a post she made on Facebook.
The Lion King: The Gift is a 14 track album by Beyonce who legit delivered on her promise to find ‘the best talent from Africa’ and to let them shine, rather than just use some of the sounds and create her interpretation for the album. Alongside Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell and 070 Shake, The Lion King features artists and producers from various African countries, including the Cameroonian artist Salatiel, Ghanaian Shatta Wale, South African artists Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa, and, from Nigeria, WizKid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade and Mr. Eazi.
According to www.usatoday.com Beyoncé described the African influenced album as one with a lot of the drums, the chants, all of these incredible new sounds mixed with the producers from America. She further added by saying they kind of created their genre through this soundtrack.
“It’s a soundscape, it’s more than just the music because each song tells the story of the film,” says Beyonce.
This is a legendary move by the international sensation and one for the books indeed. Lion King the film officially in theaters.
