Dj GMG drops ENERGI E.P

Walvis Bay based DJ drops his long-awaited E.P ENERGI.

Namibian DJs are busy taking over the music scenes by producing and dropping amazing hits back to back. These days you never know which DJ might pop up and drop yet another banger!

For now, we have DJ GMG who came through with his long-awaited E.P entitled ENERGI. The E.P consists of 6 track and features the likes of Lydia October a Spoken Word artist as well as Samba Samba, a guitarist and vocalist all the way from Zambia on one of his songs. Unwrap.online asked him why he took so long to drop the E.P as he has been cancelling the release date throughout last year and according to him he has delayed ss he didn’t receive vocals to some of the tracks on time.

One would expect GMG’s E.P to be an all Amapiano project since that’s what all the DJ’s seemed to be aiming for this days but he told Unwrap.online that he doesn’t follow “waves” like that. ” We all see how the genre Amapiano took over and everyone is trying to be part of it. Some DJ’s had unique sounds before this wave came and they lost their uniqueness through following the wave”, said GMG.

According to him, he sticks with his sound which is Afro Pop even though he has one track on the E.P that’s Amapiano. unwrap.online then asked him what makes him think his different from the rest of the DJ’s and he clearly emphasised that his sound sets him apart from the rest. Well, without a doubt it can be heard through his project ENERGI which is currently available on YouTube.
