FAIZEL MC ready for a comeback

By Jeoffrey Mukubi

Once one of the most prominent and popular hit makers in Namibia, Faizel MC has finally decided to jump back into the music game with a soon to be released song titled “Energy” featuring Namibian pop queen Oteya.

The ‘Motto’ singer mentioned that he had visited Namibia in 2019 and decided to record a song with Oteya in Luganda. “Oteya and I have known each other since day one and I wanted to have a song with her as part of my comeback in the industry. The song was made to target both Namibia and Uganda but with a European feel as I currenly reside in Germany,” he said.

Oteya is heard singing in Luganda which according to Faizel MC the process of teaching her was very cumbersome.
Faizel’s last musical contribution as an artist was in 2010, before he moved to Europe. He has traveled between Europe and East Africa in order to penetrate that particular creative industry.

“I never left the industry; I was managing my wife who is also an artist under my music label Ruff N Tuff Records. So I am back and here to stay and hope my fans are as excited about my comeback as I am. I am not about to disappoint them but to excite them,” Faizel said.

He’s also expected to release a music video for the single as well as a concert planned for the end of January 2021.
