The annual general meeting will give a report by current board members and to elect new board.
The Fashion Council of Namibia (FCN) has announced on their social media platforms that they will be electing the new board at the upcoming annual general meeting that is set to take place tomorrow. The current board, which is made up of Poulton, Kalistu Mukoroli, Lea Misika, Taati Sibolile, Lafika Heita, Ingo Shanyenge and Andriano Visagie was elected in 2016. The meeting will also serve as a platform for the current board to give a full report on their reign.
FCN was designed to represent, develop, support and grow the Namibian fashion industry and to establish and maintain a code of ethics. Some of the achievements by the current board include workshops for members, the Namib Fashion Festival and taking part in the Berlin Fashion Week just to mention a few. Lack of funds was one of the obstacles they had faced.
A list of nominees has been passed out however members of the public can still submit their nominees’ names and contact details to email@example.com. The chosen individuals will be representing the industry on the New FCN board.
FCN was founded in 2012 with the mission of creating competitive and accessible intervention programs that will enable the fashion value chain to achieve sustainable businesses and partnerships both locally and international.
