From Namibia to the world

By Foibe Shahepa

A wave of job loses and closed sceneries for revelers in what usually is a lit night life in Windhoek is now a normal scenario following the wave of rising COVID 19 cases.

This sad scenario is however not only peculiar to Namibia but a situation engulfing most countries in the world.

Alas, Namibia and its citizenry are trying their best to breathe life into the lucrative tourism industry through safer and decent ways.

That wave of finding normal under the new normal has engulfed the efforts of everyone including Government, musicians and the generality of the population.

Among those trying their best to breathe life into a challenged tourism sector is German based Namibian musician, Ees who has ropped in different influential faces into his new video to sell Namibia to the world.

Ees released the visuals a two weeks back and is tending pretty well on social media.

Accompanied by some pretty convincing visuals the new offering portrays a positive message for Namibia despite the challenges faced by the country from the devastating blow of COVID 19 which has so far claimed 35 and infected over 3000.

Perhaps what is more striking about the video is the familiar faces featured in the video including former Miss Universe, Michelle McLean, Namibian rugby captain Jacques Burger, musicians Oteya, Ras Sheehama, Shishani , Liz Ehlers, Kp illest, ML and designer Zuluboy.

Amadazfloor also make the camoe appearance in the video, all in the essence of taking Namibia to the world.

While playing its part to sell the spirit of the land of the brave to a world that needs healing, Ees certainly found his own way of attracting attention for the country at a time when it’s needed.

The song is available on different social media pages including his Facebook page, Instagram handle on YouTube.
