Fashion model puts modelling career on hold to venture in the media industry saying being a model in Namibia should not limit one to take on new career paths.

Prisca Vangi is known for having represented Namibia at the Miss University Africa Namibia in Lagos, Namibia in 2018. She is also the current brand ambassador of the Katutura Fashion Week, a platform that was created last year to embrace our Namibian models.
The model decided upon herself to take a break from modelling and pursue a career in Media Arts and Technology studies at the College of the Arts as her aim is to become a successful radio and television presenter.
When asked by unwrap.online as to why she decided to take on a new route, the fashion models says
” let’s be realistic, there isn’t much of an income being a model in my country and there are not a lot of opportunities in terms of gigs etc, plus studying media allowed me to be different, creative as well as to express myself more”, said Vangi.
Vangi further adds that if opportunities had to come her way regarding modelling she’d take them on as at the end of the day, modelling is still her passion.
The fashion model encourages other models to try out new opportunities, learn more outside the modelling world and eventually notice the growth they’d make. She says always remember to add value to yourself.
