Namibian artist Gazza is well on his way to hit a million views for his Chelete video. If he amazes 1 million views on YouTube he will be the first Namibian artist to get a million views on the platform.
Gazza set his ambitions to get a million views when he launched a campaign seeking support from Namibians on his quest for YouTube views. On 25 October 2018 Gazza pleaded with Namibians to help him achieve his goal.
Soon after Chelete was dropped, the GMP fans came through for Gazza. The video already got 100 000 views in its first week.
Two weeks after Chelete was dropped it had over 205 000 views on YouTube.
A month after the video dropped, we guess the hype and interest was too huge and there was over 400 000 views for Chelete.
Fast forward to today and Chelete is seating on 718 016 views as we typed this. The push for views was unconventional, Gazza relied on his fans to get the views for him, he also used popular Instagram socialites and influencers to increase viewership for the video. The video also has a lot of popular individuals from Instagram and within the entertainment industry making cameos, this we believe drove the views to where they are today.

Gazza also roped in South African gqom artist Moonchild Sanelly to get more views for the video. She called Gazza one his friends and asked her fans to watch his video so that it can reach a million.
We are not sure when Chelete will hit a million views, but we know it is pretty soon. To hit a million Gazza still has 281 989 views to go.
