Gazza sparks election debate

Some die-hard Gazza fans were left with a bad taste in their mouths after the King of Kwaito used his social media platforms to express his undying support for the ruling party.

Namibian celebrities, in the spirit of the upcoming elections, have taken to social media to encourage fellow citizens to go through and cast their votes to the right party.

Award-winning artist Gazza who has made it known as to whom his party and presidential votes go to has been getting burns on social media by Namtweeps who don’t agree with him entirely. The Chelete singer tweeted pictures of him at a Swapo Party rally with the caption that read:

“There is only one party and one true presidential candidate Hage Geingob. If I were to make a difference I believe it will be through the party, not denying that we need youthful energy in the structures but it starts with our involvement now.”

Although some of his fans and members of the public seem to agree to the GMP king, many begged to differ saying the party has done nothing for the youth and time for change is now.
Namibia will be having it’s 2019 Presidential and National Assembly Elections on 27 November.
