Afro pop or rather Afro fusion is a genre that’s popping currently in Namibia and Gerenyovest is part of the movement!
This blend of contemporary music infused with traditional rhythms of Africa creates a style of music that is pleasing to the ear and which is sweeping the music scene not only in Namibia, as well as other parts of the world.
Germanus Jeremia known as Gerenyovest is a Namibian musician who is busy waving to the Afropop genre. The artist who released his first single “Granadilla” a couple of months ago is overwhelming by the amount of love he received. Granadilla is currently over 6000 streams and 4000 downloads on Namibiamusic.com.
Gerenyovest is associated with different artists such as Exit, Vikta Juiceboy King Elegant in terms of music. The consistent Gerenyovest dropped his latest single titled Hold You which features Vikta Juiceboy and promises to give visuals to it very soon. He adds by saying
“I mean I’m still looking for a good videographer that can give my song a huge platform national and internationally”.
When asked by Unwrap.online what he currently busy with, he said “I’m still working on my album which will be titled Success Loading and it will be announced soon as well. The album will be produced by Dj Chronics. And thinking that’s all you can expect from him, he is a dancer and a brand seller at the same time. He is the founder of the Teamjustice brand,which is his future music record.
The artist dream is to work with international acts the likes of Davido, Tiwa Savage just to name a few. Music is incredibly intimate and allows artists to convey a message or emotion that they may not be able to communicate with their words and reveals a deeper part of who they are.
