By: Wilka Kayoko

After almost a year of releasing his first Coronavirus song, My Nigger Get Rich has gone back in the studio for round two!

The rapper released another music video for a song titled ‘Dear God’ and just like the first one the song is a plea for divine intervention and God’s mercy during the COVID-19 pandemic wrecking havocs around the country.

“Every day we pray different prayers. This is another prayer that come from my heart, with a different meaning, the last prayer has a different meaning. I realize there is more I need to offer and people need more inspiration and hope that after dark days, comes better days ”, he said
The music video was shot in his hometown, Grootfontein earlier this year and showcases different clips including bible verses as well as graveyard scene, to present the unfortunate reality striking the country.

The process, he said, was energy consuming, but he gave it all with the hope that offers guide others prayers and offer conform as well as entertainment during trying times.

“I truly believe it will spark their brains and bring hope to the people. I included the bible scriptures and the bible clips alerting the world that we can’t live by bread alone, but by every word that is of God,” he said adding that while he has fortunately has not contracted the virus himself, he has lost people close to him due to the pandemic and have watched many others suffer.
