Hats by Tira, the latest must have in your wardrobe

Christina is the main plug when it comes to custom made hats!

Namibia is full of creatives and I keep emphasizing on that point. Almost everyone is branching out and becoming entrepreneurs through creating, re-creating, selling also providing services for us. Christina Links is no doubt one of the most talented and creative people in our country. She is based in the South, Mariental and makes beautiful hats for church, tea parties, prom you name it!

She started hat making late 2016 after attending a training course in South Africa at the SA school of Hat Making. Her inspiration is driven from her upbringing in Mariental. Growing up as kids they always had to wear beautiful hats when going to church every Sunday and up to today it’s a common and well noticed thing that women in the South really love wearing their custom made designer hats to funeral, weddings and baptisms. Ever since that is had been a dream of hers.

The mother to a beautiful baby girl dreams to have a brand collaboration with our local and well known designers like Nicoleen from Damage Designs, Melisa Poulton and Ignacio Hanyanya just to name a few. She says her business is currently doing very well with the assistance she gets from her mother and cousin in making the hats, a proud Namibian product indeed. Let’s continue supporting local brands and check out more hats on her Instagram page.
