- Beyoncé’s latest collaboration with sportswear giant Adidas is inspired by the pop star’s country roots and Namibia’s Gina Jeanz rocked it!
Cape Town-based Namibian creative director, music producer and DJ Gina Jeanz is back in the limelight after being seen in a catalogue of one of the biggest fashion releases this year, which is the collaboration between one of the largest clothing brands Adidas and Beyonce.
“IVY PARK x ADIDAS – @beyonce invited us to the RODEO!!! We got to preview and shoot the new collection in store with Aart Verrips. To have been part of this and finally get to work with one of my dream brands is beyond,” Gina wrote on her Twitter page.
This is Beyonce’s fourth collection from her Adidas x Ivy Park line globally. Ivy Park Rodeo pays homage to the Black people that have continually influenced cowboy and cowgirl culture, despite being oft excluded from American Western history.
“After understanding where the word ‘cowboy’ came from, I realized how much of the Black, brown, and Native cowboy stories are missing in American history,” Beyoncé told the Houston Chronicle about the collection.
