Goethe Stage 2019 script application now open

Your script could stand a chance and be one of the lucky three needed!

Goethe Stage is in 2019 however different than before – only one phase of applications and grants will be held, and with a focus on one genre: short films.

The Goethe-Institut Namibia is known for promoting cultural engagement by fostering dialogue through the arts and is through Goethe Stage seeking new and local art projects.

The project is taking a different approach this year and instead of more than one call-out, Goethe Stage 2019 is calling for the submission of scripts for short films before 4 August – the only call-out for this year. Three scripts will be selected by a group of qualified judges, who also have experience in the local and international film industry. Shortlisted candidates will throughout the course of this year attend seminars designed for skills development in the different spheres of film production.

Interested persons are thus invited to submit a script and application form to stage-windhoek@gethe.de before 4 August. The chosen film will premier in 2020. More details are available on the website.
