Iamking the king of the saxophone

Iamking’s Namibian tour

The saxophonist all the way from Zimbabwe, Harare is currently on tour and is here in Namibia. Last Night he performed in Walvis Bay at Ekunde Lounge alongside Ashwyn Mberi and Tappz.

The saxophonist already share with us his tour days on his Instagram and he might be in your town next. Namibia’s Art-enabler and Poet Ashwyn Mberi was one of the special guest that performed at Ekunde last night. Even with the little technical difficulties experienced, the man with the words had no problem but performed two of his beautiful poetry pieces as always playing around with his words and emphasising on points that needed to be heard most.

The crowd was a little tight up at first but shook it loose when Ashwyn performed his well-known song, Wakanda. Communincation and interacting with the crowd, Ashwyn gave the crowd the chorus to sing along and indeed they sang.

Tappz who recently dropped his album also gave amazing live performances, hitting it back in the days of Bob Marley and performing tracks off his album. What took the cake during his performance was the way he played the drums, pure African beats connecting back to the Roots of our ancestors.

When the man of the moment hit center-stage (Iamking) the crowd was up on their toes with their phones out snapping the night away. Osborne aka Iamking a soft spoken man gave the crowd beautiful and breathtaking performances, for many that where at Ekunde.

Iamking had no problem engaging with the crowd and everyone was dancing along especially with he performed the cover for Gazza’s hit Chelete.
