This weekend, all roads lead to Otjiwarongo for the traditional food and music festival.
This weekend in Otjiwarongo, the first Traditional food and music festival will be kicking off as of many more to come! A brainchild of artist Himba Boi, the core aims of the event is to create a platform for cultural based community engagements through the food and art.
“With this, there is the hope of building a deep and strong legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of the Namibian society that are inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed in the hearts and minds of the youth in Otjizondjupa,” says Himba Boi.
Besides showcasing the capabilities of the artists in the region, the festival will also focus on marketing and promoting the town as a tourist, trade and industrial destination, showcasing all the cuisines, sound and attractions it has to offer.
The festival will take place at Otjiwarongo municipal parks on 2 and 3 August.
