K-Dio on One I Love cover and new album release

He has been the talk of the town lately since his beautiful cover song of King Tee Dee featuring Tanzanian hit maker Diamond Platnumz.

The song that has gone viral is and is currently sitting on over 4000 views on Youtube has also been recognized by the award-winning original maker King Tee Dee. K-Dio says he opted to make the cover to show support to King Tee Dee during the whole saga.

“It seemed as if the Tanzanians were happy with Diamond Platnumz and I too wanted to make something that showed support,” he said.

K-Dio says he didn’t expect King Tee Dee to notice his cover song as he said the people he played the song first to had negative comments about it.

“I know my music business well and I know it is not a crime to make a cover of a song. Despite all the negativity, I posted a video with the song playing in the background on my WhatsApp status. Someone shared it on Facebook and tagged King Tee Dee. The rest is history. I am just glad that people liked it after all,” he said.

The M’kwamalanga smooth singer is currently working on his third studio album which will be released later this year in November. K-Dio seems pretty excited about his upcoming project as he regularly shares snippets of songs from the album on his social media platforms. His previous albums are all great and there is no doubt that this one will be otherwise.
