King Tee Dee celebrates 150 000 VMMC campaign circumcisions

King Tee Dee is celebrating 150 000 circumcisions as part of the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) in Namibia.

The initial target for the VMMC campaign in Namibia was 30 000 males but it seems like with the help of King Tee Dee they exceeded their expectations. King Tee Dee uploaded a picture celebrating the successful campaign. “HIV is real, Let’s get a smart cut. Your life is precious,” he wrote on Instagram.

King Tee Dee led by example when September of 2016 he also got a “smartcut” from then Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr Bernard Haufiku.

The VMMC campaign started in 2016 and King Tee Dee has been the ambassador of the programme since then.

Initially, the campaign was implemented in four regions, namely: Oshana, Zambezi, Erongo and Khomas.  However it was rolled out to Ohangwena and //Kharas regions.
