Kris withaK crowned Top African comedian

 

Namibian comedian Kris withaK has emerged the award Top African Comedian for the SA Comedy Awards. The competition which took place over the weekend virtually saw the Namibian comedian get crowned with the title top online comedian in the rest of Africa, his first international nomination and win. The exciting comic took to social media to thank his followers and the public for voting for him, further saying that the win is for Namibia. 

The inaugural ceremony of the SA Comedy Awards was held in 2006 and 2007 at Cape Town’s Artscape Theatre Centre, where both events were broadcast on SABC 2. At the awards, then-young comedians Trevor Noah, Loyiso and Gola, together with established comedians Riaad Moosa and John Vlismas walked away victorious.
