Lake of Stars, a crowd fit for Namibia’s rap Queen

Lioness has landed in Malawi for the Lake of Stars festival that is starting today.

Namibia’s Rap queen and this month’s cover girl for faux mag September edition, Lioness has landed in Malawi for the annually held Lake of Stars Festival starting today and will end on 29 September.

Lioness took to Instagram to share her journey thus far around Malawi and was interviewed by Malawian award-winning TV Personality, and TV presenter Kayira Priscilla at Zodiak Broadcasting Station -ZBS TV, which rap queen Lioness also posted on her social media stating, “I had a blast. Stay tuned for the rerun.”

Apart from sitting down with Priscilla, Lioness also went on to RainbowTV a public broadcaster run by the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) where she posted on social media, “Catching up with the ladies on Double E for RainbowTv! Talking all things @LakeofStars” The festival which celebrates music and arts is going to be held at the Nkhata Bay at the beautiful Kachere Kastle. The purpose of the event is to attract more international visitors into Malawi, a narrative they’ve accomplished since according to Nyasa Times newspaper the tickets for the festival have been sold out. For those who did not yet buy a ticket Head of Media at the Lake of Stars Festival Zilanie Godwe had announced unfortunately there will be no tickets being sold at the gates.

Lioness will then be performing in front of fully packed crowd alongside the hottest artists from Malawi and around Africa in the music industry, big names like the South African musician and dancer Moonchild Sanelly, DJ and Producer DJ Lag, South African musician Bongeziwe Mabandla and many others.
