Miss Namibia building a diamond nation

Our lovely Selma Kamanya, Miss Namibia 2018, will be going on her first road trip to the beautiful town of Oranjemund from 4 to 6 February. Air Namibia will be flying her there. Over and above paying a curtsey call to the major, she will be addressing approximately 2 000 youths. This charitable drive intends to focus on youth issues in their effort to eventually help build a Diamond generation. In summary it deals with the importance of a full rounded education and for every pupil to become the best he or she can, as an individual. Miss Namibia’s drive to build a Diamond generation is in association with the NDTC.
Selma recently returned from taking part in the 67th Miss Universe pageant that was held on 17 December 2018 at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, northern suburb of Bangkok, Thailand. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa crowned her successor Catriona Gray of the Philippines by the end of the event.
Although she did not bag the crown, she got so much more from the event including the Namibian nation’s hearts. The reigning queen expressed her gratitude to the Namibians in a heartfelt Instagram post.
