Lioness lets followers in on engagement

Latoya Mwoombola, also known as Lioness, finally let the cat out of the bag when she confirmed rumours of her engagement on Instagram.


The Meme singer could not stop talking about how she cannot wait to be married.

The songbird has in the past shared on her social media accounts romantic updates and pictures of Miguel Hamutenya, who she calls ‘M’.

It was only this weekend that the songbird broke the silence and shared her excitement and happiness when she posted online photos and videos of how Hamutenya got on one knee in Franschoek, South Africa.

Hamutenya asked for her hand last year already, but she wanted to protect her happiness from the media.

“I kept it away from the blogs and media because I had never been so happy to keep this joy between me, my family and friends. Yesterday, we solidified our blessings in front of the people that make up this foundation,” she said on Instagram.

But it did not go down without a little bit of drama and the songster who also doubles as a medical doctor was forced to run around frantically last minute to find a dress under three hours and finally found the perfect dress with Perfekt Boutique, which managed to make a dress under three hours.

“I am just done. I am not getting my wedding dress done here. I am not wasting my time with Namibian creatives. It always ends in tears. Guys, it is your work ethic, you are not disappointing anybody but your brand. I almost, literally had a stroke yesterday, but I am really happy that everything worked out perfectly,” she said.
