Lioness keeps setting bars in her league at her own pace and at the same time, changing the status quo. The one thing we applaud from the rapping Dr is the fact that she carries her country’s flag high and represents us too. This weekend, great news came from great Malawi that the Meme singer will be gracing Lake of Stars Festival stage at the 15th anniversary of the event.

Lake of Stars Festival is an annual three-day international festival held on the shores of Lake Malawi, the third-largest lake in Africa. The queen of Namibian hip hop took to her social media to share the news with her fans in a statement that read:
“So happy to announce that I will be performing at the lake of stars music festival in Malawi September 2019!
Alongside @Moonsanelly.”

Lioness who is currently in the NAMAs run for Best Song of the Year category with Bad also tweeted that this will be the first-ever time headlining an international festival.

Offering a unique, immersive adventure, Lake of Stars Discovery will bring you a curated line up of music, talks, poetry, theatre, film, art and wellness activities from Malawi and across the globe, in an intimate and inspiring setting. The first festival took place in 2004 and attracts over 4,000 attendees with musical acts drawn mainly from Africa and Europe. Lake of Stars Discovery will take place from 27 to 29 September.
