Lize Ehlers is all about women empowerment in new video

March has been an amazing month for women, there have been so many uplifting moments for women. Lize Ehlers continues with the celebration of women through her new music video for her song Strut Yourself.

The singer says her new song is aimed at empowering women and making sure they appreciate themselves for what they do. Ehlers believe women can come together to make things work for themselves and uplift their communities. “Women, especially women with influence carry a huge responsibility, and it should be used for upliftment and support,” she said.

She was very specific about who she chose to work with for the video of her new single. She paid close attention to detail surrounding the location for the shoot, the video director, make-up artist, photographer on scene at the shoot and much more.

Ehlers says she chose to work with Avani Windhoek Hotel because of their support of local artists. “I chose Avani VIP suite because they are the most recognized platform giving singers a regular stage to perform,” she said. She chose with local make-up artist Miss Jey and AM Photography because of their creativity and respects her professionalism. Melisa Poulton from the House of Poulton was responsible for styling Lize Ehlers and models for the video, Ehlers pointed out that Poulton is respected in the fashion industry and that is why she used her skills for the video. “House of Poulton’s Fashion Fiesta has been embraced by Adriano Visagie, Lioness and so many more creative giants of Namibia,” she added.

The video was shot and directed by Reggie Zaire from Reggie Films, the singer says he is one of the most ambitious and open minded video directors in Namibia. “And ReggieFilms is just the most recognized and creative music video director on the scene now,” she said.
