Local artists to perform ‘Namibian’ songs tomorrow during independence celebrations

The cat is finally out of the bag, long term Namibian artists will be launching their proudly Namibian songs.

It seems like there is a lot in store for Namibians tomorrow at the Independence stadium. Besides the fact that celebrations for the country’s 29 years of freedom will be underway, Namibian artists will be, for the first time sharing their collaboration songs, honoring the land of the brave.

Celebrities including King Tee Dee, Gazza, Ann Singer, Big Ben, and Ras Sheehama just to mention a few have been posting subliminal messages in their late posts where they seem to be rehearsing at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, for something massive.

Multiple videos have been posted on the Ministry of Information and Technology’s social media platforms with the artists encouraging people to come out in numbers to the stadium tomorrow.

“Please come to celebrate Namibia’s birthday, it’s for every Namibian out there, it’s ours. I have produced two beautiful songs alongside Elvo and Glo featuring a number of artists so please come out, it will be beautiful,” said Araffat.

There will also be performances by different cultural groups from around Namibia. The event is set to take place at the Independence Stadium in Olympia.
