Luis and Maria tackle HIV/ Aids with the health ministry

They care about the future and that’s one of the reasons they became part of the campaign.

It is not a secret that we are one of the countries with the highest and alarming rate of HIV Aids, especially in the youth. When personalities and close friends Maria Nepembe and Luis Manana were approached to be part of a campaign powered by the Ministry of Health, they immediately said yes.

“Because surprisingly the number of youth infected by the virus is high which a threat to our future leaders is, and because it’s a youthful campaign, more youth will be cautioned to see the ad in hopes of encouraging safe sex at all times among the youth,” they said.

Letting the cat out of the bag, the two stars posted videos on their social media platforms with the following caption:

“How much do you know about HIV/AIDS? Are you circumcised? Do you practice safe sex? Are you and your partner tested? Are you faithful? Because Maria Nepembe, the Ministry of Health and I care about your health.”

In the video, the two take on Windhoek streets asking the most real questions about one’s health such as are you faithful and are you circumcised. The questions where directed to both young and old. The video closes off with Luis Munana saying that if one doesn’t know their status, they can walk into any public health center to get tested today and always to use a condom consistently and correctly.
