Maria Nepembe gushes over Burna Boy gig

Celebrity personality, producer, model and actress Maria Nepembe is over the moon on scooping the MC gig for the much publicised forthcoming Burna Boy show in April.

The jovial Nepenbe fresh from yet another influential escapade in Nigeria last year shared her excitement with unWrap Online saying she feels privileged to be one of the few people to share the stage with high flying Burna Boy.

The organiser of the show, Mindscape Events said they had to dig deep to find out just how much of fan Maria is to the Nigerian Superstar before they gave her the gig.

Nepembe said some of her favourite songs of Burna Boy include Ye, On the Low and Anybody just to mention a few. Nepembe said she loves Burna Boy because he represents Africa as a whole in general and because of his hard work and dedication.

“Burna Boy had to work his way up, he started from the bottom of the chain and now he’s an African Giant. He is hardworking and consistent in his craft, a trait I love and respect a lot, ” she said.

Asked if she were to host him for a day while on his stay, the bubbly star said she would show him the whole city from uptown to downtown and if possible, the whole country too.

” I’ll literally show him everything, introduce him to some very talented producers and creatives as well as humanitarians. I would also show him most of our amazing tourist attractions, ” she said.

Maria Nepembe says she looks forward to sharing the stage with the Grammy-nominated award as it is something creative dreams of.

” l am looking forward to Burna Boy’s performance and of course KP Illest, I mean did you see the lineup? It’s so crazy! Please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment because it’s going to be a show for the books !”
