Miss Transgender to be a voice and beacon of hope

The fairest of them all will be crowned tonight and take on the mammoth task of being the voice of the transgender community.

Tonight, the nation will be of witness to the first-ever crowning of Miss Transgender Ambassador. Not only is it a pageant but a leadership program for all the contestants.

According to Princess V an organizer, the pageant is aimed at creating a voice as well as visibility for all transgender persons in the nation. For so long the transgender community where the silent block in the LGBTQI+ community, no one spoke about the transgender due to transphobia the fear, hatred, disbelief, and mistreatment.

What is expected from the queen who will reign supreme, is to motivate and raise awareness on issues affecting the transgender community. Visibility is important and participating in these event takes immense courage and determination says Princess V. The titleholder is also expected to surpass societal norms and social exclusion for transgender persons.

Miss Trans Ambassador will take place today at the Ella Du Plessies school hall with performances by Adora, Priscilla The Desert Queen as well as Micheal Pulse just to name a few. Red carpet starts at 18:30 and the event officially starts at 19:00. This is indeed a beautiful initiative implemented for our transgender community just to appreciate them more because at the end end of the day all they want is to be accepted for who they are.
