Old School Jive Concert is a musical concert made for old school musicians in honor and remembrance of their genuine contribution to the lively Namibian music industry. The Old School Jive concert shall be one of the first of its kind in the country, to honor musical legends. There will be performances from the country’s prominent old school musicians as well as upcoming artists doing voice over for the late old school musicians.

The old school musicians considered are the ones who have been in the industry as from 1990 to 2009, exactly celebrating these icons after 10 years of their musical services to the world. According to one of the organizers Selma Sylvanus, in Namibia, celebrities are only celebrated or remembered when they are late and are not honored while they are still alive. Her team believes that musicians have a privilege of being honored in their presence for the massive contribution towards the Namibian music industry.

The organisers have put out a call for quotations from artists who have been in the industry since 1990 to 2009 to be able to perform on 21 December at the Oshakati Independence Stadium.
