M+Z Mercedes-Benz announced the appointment of Pombili Shilongo as their newest brand ambassador. Pombili, a prominent brand influencer and seasoned media personality, is the new face of Mercedes-Benz, receiving a brand new Mercedes-Benz C-Class as part of the partnership. The announcement was made on Saturday by M+Z Mercedes-Benz Sales Manager Mark Breitenbach, who expressed excitement and admiration for Shilongo’s professionalism, captivating personality, and positive outlook.
“Shilongo’s selection as brand ambassador stems from her representation of the current
and next generation of Mercedes-Benz clientele, making her a natural fit for
collaboration on the next generation of products and services in Namibia. Her extensive
understanding of the Mercedes-Benz brand, coupled with her ability to inspire and
engage through her public and social media presence, played a significant role in her
selection,” said Breitenbach.
The brand ambassador campaign seeks to strengthen the position of Mercedes-Benz in
Namibia and empower young, creative individuals who aspire to make a difference.
Throughout the duration of the partnership, specific details of upcoming initiatives will be
unveiled, promising unique experiences for Namibians.
The announcement was made at a Mercedes-Benz event where the all-new
Mercedes-Benz GLC and A-Class were also introduced to the Namibian market.
“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to be selected by a premiere brand like Mercedes Benz for an ambassador deal of this magnitude. For them to choose me as the first woman ambassador is a great honour, and I trust that in this role, I can take both the Mercedes Benz and my own brand to greater heights,” Shilongo said before the big announcement.
She adds, “I’m looking forward to re-igniting Namibian’s belief that their dreams and aspirations are attainable”. She also hopes this campaign will inspire other influencers and showcase the possibilities available to them in the market.”
