NAMAs announce presenter’s auditions date

Here is a chance for you to stunt on the biggest awards stage in Namibia

It is that time of the year where the bold and confident are put to test to get the best in the game to host the biggest award show in the land of the brave. Unlike last year where presenters were headhunted, the organizing committee will be having the auditions on 1 June in Windhoek to select those suitable for the job.

A video shared on the NBC Whatagwan Facebook page is inviting all bold and those that have the words and composure to head to the NBC headquarters on 1 June between 09:00 and 16:00 to stand a chance to grace the 2019 NAMAs stage as a presenter.

In the past, personalities from Namibia and beyond including Uejaa Kazondunge, Bonang Mathemba, Mavis Braga, Esperance Luvindao, Paul Da Prince, El shaddai Aluteni Tanya Daringo and Odile Gartze have had the task of hosting the prestigious event successfully.

Speaking to unWrap.online, the head of communications of MTC says that the search for presenters has always been an integral part of the Nama experience. He further said that the characters that the committee seeks are plenty but, eloquence, dynamic and clear ability to wow a crowd with stage presence are key and often times advantageous if you have experience in presenting or appearance industry before.
“It is basically an experience to scout the industry for new talent, with the aim to enhance and provide a new experience to the audience and the chosen talents. Often times depending on what the theme is for the awards, the Executive Committee in wide consultation with the technical, production and creative committee’s will headhunt or find a fit for purpose hosting personality to simply raise the profile of the NAMAs on the night,” said Fikameni Mathias.

This is a chance not to be missed by all passionate about presenting! Keep an eye on the NAMAs social media accounts for updates.
