Walking on an international ramp is no longer too lofty a dream for Namibian models. Lately, Namibian talent has been making strides globally and this reality is about to catch up with Abner Vilho who has been scouted to represent Namibia at the fifth edition of Mister United Continents 2020.

Through his social media platforms Abner, who made his debut on the ramp after taking part in Mr Walvis Bay 2017, had model scouts watching. This led to him being invited to become a representative of Namibia.
This is a dream come true for the 25 year old model who ventured into modelling two years ago. According to him, it is the effort and endless hours of training that brings triumph in modelling. “This is a great opportunity for me and just like Michelle McLean I dearly want to achieve that same dream of flying the Namibian flag high at this prestigious pageant,” he said.
“I am therefore, pleading for any kind of sponsorship including clothing vouchers or monetary to help me achieve this goal and make this dream a reality.”
The model who is also a long-distance runner has to date taken part in more than five pageants including a recent showcase of his talent at International Arts Africa in Silvester Casino, Johannesburg.
Raised in Omutse village in the Northern part of Namibia and now a resident of Walvis Bay, Abner describes himself as an ambitious and optimistic person who embraces simplicity. “My passion is to succeed in my modelling career and help those coming after me get to the top. I love my people and care for them,” he expressed.
The pageant finals will be held tentatively from January 24 to February 3 2020 in Cebu, Philippines.
