Having had over 19 Namibian personalities nominated at the recently concluded Scream Awards, two have emerged winners in their categories.
The winners include rapper Lioness and fashion designer Kaselly.
Lioness who is also a medical doctor took to her socials to express gratitude for her win, saying it is her first award since being in the industry for 15 years.
“ God you saw my tears, the rejection, the broken self-esteem in 2020 when I was nominated for awards I thought were meant for me! Coming out of a freak car accident going to the awards and still not winning broke me! But you told me that patience is all it takes and now I won my first ever music-related award after 15 years!!!” read her caption.
The Superstar thanked the awards organiser and her fans who are referred to as the pride for believing in her.
Kaselly also took to her socials where she wrote “we won fam”.
The awards ceremony is one of the biggest all-youth awards in West Africa, which has spread to the rest of Africa.
