National Song voting lines to close on 2 July

Have you voted enough or at all? You still have until 2 July to do so!

The search of the national song will come to an end as there are merely a few days left.

The Ministry as the custodian of the Nationhood and National Pride (NNP) campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture were tasked by Government to spearhead, coordinate the special project which is currently up and running.

The national Song titled: My Namibia – a song which is less formal but jovial, patriotic and one which will instill national pride among Namibians.

The songs that feature artists including Oteya, Gazza, Adora, Hishishi Papa, Sunny Boy, King Tee Dee are currently on YouTube where you can watch them and vote for the one you would like to be the national song.The SMS line will be closed on 2 July.

For one to participate in this competition, you will have to SMS the key word for your preferred song to 33033 • To vote for Song 1one will have to SMS SO1 to 33033
• To vote for Song 2 SMS SO2 to 33033
• The SMS cost N$ 2.00

The winning song will be declared the My Namibia Song and will therefore become a national song that will complement the National Anthem.
