Television and Radio presenter Ndapewa Hazel Ambambi is one of the recently announced nominees for the Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards (SYMLFA).
Contesting in the Favorite Female Radio Presenter category, Ndapewa says the nomination surprised her as she never anticipated it.
“It means so much to me that I was recognised as one of the best female radio personalities. Being a part of the nominees is really a big deal to me and that honestly just shows acknowledgement towards my career,” she said.
The thrilling presenter kick-started her media career at Nust FM while completing her studies. She describes the experience as valuable and constructive as it allowed her to enhance her skills and expand her expertise.
“Nust FM groomed me into the radio presenter I am today and I’ll always be grateful for the fact that they took me under their wing before anybody else did,” said Ndapewa.
Ndapewa has previously hosted the 2019 NAMAs and has recently become part of Whatagwan and Eagle Fm family.
“I’m allowing myself to learn and appreciate what I’m doing. Meanwhile, I’m still allowing myself to be open to opportunities outside of what I have studied. It’s a blessing and every day brings something new, that’s for sure,” she said.
The SYMLFA are aimed at celebrating and acknowledging the hard work and continuous efforts by personalities in the arts and entertainment industry. The awards are slated for 25 September 2020 in the capital city.
