Ndawana Ndume is still making moves

By Emilie Shimbali

Namibian Afro-pop singer, actor, radio and TV presenter Ondawanapo Ndume better known as Ndawana is back to work with something more exciting apart from his much anticipated album titled ‘Sound Of My Drums’.

This multi-talented singer skyrocketed after he won an upcoming musician competition in Abuja, Nigeria with his hit Ondjila Oile in 2015. “I also nominated for NAMAs after releasing my debut album the same year and in 2016 I also got nominated for NAMAs in the category of best Shambo with the Okandeshimwene remix,” he told unWrap.online

Ndawana has been away from stage performance and everything that comes with being an active musician. He focused his energy to screen play which keeps him busy. Ndawana is currently filming a documentary about what inspired him start singing and it is titled ‘Music is My Language’

In this very unique and interesting movie he is featured by some local musicians the likes of, Black, Dam Monique, Vikta Juice boy, VDkei Crazy Boy but that’s as much as he wants to release.

“The idea behind this movie is to give and educate all viewers the reason why it’s important to listen to music and also to show the world that music is a language that can help you solve most of your problems,” he shares.

At the moment, Ndawana is an online TV presenter working with Trend Tv on a popular music program called Trending Namibia that is aimed at promoting local produced content, music and movies.

Besides that Ndawana works with international award winning artists and is urging Namibians to follow his YouTube page for more escapism during this pandemic.
