Namibian artist Nambele Bertha, commonly known as Newturn, recently released her new hit track “Don’t Let Me Go,” which features King Elegant.
The star who appeared in Tate Buti’s famous song Mondarae said that this soulful song is produced by Mr Glo Solani, one of the producers she worked with before she left.
Despite the fact that she has been singing for a long time, the civil engineer has never wanted to work in the music industry since she wants to focus on her studies.
“I didn’t want to concentrate on music because I never want to lose track of the game and lose attention.”
“Now that I’m a graduate, I’m done with books for the time being, so I’m focusing on music, which was the other passion that I had to give up,” she explains
When asked about her collaboration, she stated that she had always wanted to collaborate with King Elegant.
“ I always wanted to work with him because of his talent and style, and that when I recorded this song, I realized that his work and art were missing,” she explained.
Mr Glo, the man behind some of Namibia’s most successful songs and the song’s producer, describes the song as “a beautiful Afropop vibe.”
“To summarize it all, the song has a flavour of both old and new sound at the same time, and it’s captivating and mesmerizing; working on it with her was so much fun, and we had a blast.” “Working with such a kind soul makes me proud,” he says.
She has collaborated with musicians such as Tate Buti, PDK, Young T, Exit, Blacksheep, and Waka, as well as producers such as Arafat, K-boz, and the late Pedrito.
Indeed, 2022 appears to be a promising year for her, as she is hard at work on her debut album and promises to provide the long-awaited artwork.
