The event will be one of the first of its kind in Oniipa and the organizers want nothing but the best and to show the growth of the town and its talent.
Speaking to one of the organizers Meduletu Mulokoshi, the Oniipa Talent Show is an event that will cater for people from surrounding areas including Oshigambo and Ondangwa, giving them a platform to showcase the talent of people based in the northern parts of the country as the majority of attention is on those based in the city.
“We are bringing opportunities to the people and in return, building and growing our local talent. These are the future stars and this kind of awareness will go a long way and this is why we also urge sponsors to come on board with us to make the event a success,” he said.
The organizers are seeking for poets, dancers, singer, and cultural dancers over the age of 15 to apply with a registration fee of N$ 100 to be part of the event. The main event is set to take place in August this year. The organizers have also announced that singer Michael Pulse the head judge and coach of the event.
